VHAC Clout Champion
Following his involvement in the Fleurieu Triple event, Graham Potts was out there again competing in the State Clout Tournament Sunday 27th August 2017.
It was a very wet and blustery day for the State Clout Tournament held at the Hills Archers Lobethal grounds. The wind may have helped some arrows glide effortlessly to target but for most of the tournament, it came from all directions, swirling and causing arrows to fly a little off course. High scores were difficult to achieve but despite the conflicting conditions the archers participating managed to enjoy themselves. With Attila Balla amongst this specialist group how can one not enjoy the day!
Final results for the Australian Clout 180 metre event was Graham Potts 1st in the Open Male Compound division with a score of 644. Attila Balla - Adelaide Archery Club - was close behind in 2nd place with 639. Graham was the only VHAC competitor this year but hopefully next year will see some old faces and newcomers trying out again in this most graceful and medieval form of archery.
