Coaching: SA Archery Style
The official title for the coaching sessions conducted under the auspices of Archery SA is the 'State Development Program'. The inaugural session was in May with following sessions popping up every 8 weeks until the final for the year, held on the 18th November 2018. Plans are afoot for the Development Program to continue into 2019.
Mylor November 18th - Development Program.
Participants in the program numbered approximately 25 archers and came from a variety of clubs including as far afield as Port Pirie.
Program Coordinator Nicky Stuut did a marvellous job in all aspects of the program which not
only covered shooting techniques but also included knowledge of your equipment, how and why things work as they should, which arrows to choose and the mental approach to competition

Program Directors Simon Fairweather [Recurve] and Pat Coghlan [Compound] provided the 'brains behind the program' with their combined talents, experience and insights. Helping out with 'on hands coaching tips and tricks' were a group of Development Coaches which included Graham Winston, Andy Cooper, Wayne Kolster, Andrew Kuchel and Ben Page. Alec Potts also made a special appearance to share his insight on how to develop a mental approach to competition events and other archery related problems.

No matter what experience or talent one may have there is always something more to learn and South Australia is fortunate to have two of the finest archers Australia has produced
and they and their supporting crew, are willing to put time and effort into giving us a helping hand. Congratulations to all the 'team' for a job well done - it was much appreciated. 🏹
