Southern Vales AC Comes to Victor Harbor
Saturday 13th April 2019 - it was a sight never seen before - 25 + archers shooting on the Victor Harbor Archery Field Course grounds.
Southern Vales Archery Club were holding their Field Club Championships and decided to grace the VHAC grounds for the event. They came well prepared and organised and it appears the shoot was well received from both perspectives. SVAC is a club with a variety of archers shooting compound, recurve, longbow and crossbow - all were represented at this Field Championship.
Shooting Field is a challenge like no other and to date, VHAC has only a few members who brave the Field. It was a delight to see so many archers and for the few VHAC members who shot on the day, a totally different experience to the usual. It was a productive experience for everyone, giving both clubs a chance to interact and socialise on a grand scale.
To make matters more interesting SVAC had an Easter Basket raffle, raising money for their Juniors - could a VHAC member be the lucky one?!! There was also a birthday celebrated on this day - SVAC member Mark Dibdin - I believe it was fish and chips and a grand birthday cake following the shoot. Happy Birthday Mark!
Thank you to all SVAC members who participated and we hope to see you all again soon.
