VHAC Club Championships and Trophy Presentation 2020

Club Championships for 2020 made it through the Covid-19 second surge and the Trophy Presentation dinner was held at the Grosvenor Hotel on Saturday 5th December - it was a small but boisterous group who attended. President Graham Potts could not be there but Victor Harbor Councillor Marilyn Henderson certainly kept us entertained with her past archery exploits. The club appreciates the support she provides as we move toward further upgrades to our grounds on Back Valley Road.

Master Female Compound and Club Female Compound Champion - Donna Johnson
Master Male Recurve - Pino Mignanelli
Veteran plus Female Recurve - Lydia Strutton
Pat Coghlan made a very good MC for the evening and was an expert 'elbow nudger' by nights end! There was one character however, who seemed to manage an appearance in all photos taken on the night!!
On behalf of the VHAC Executive Committee, Pat praised and congratulated all members of the club for their involvement, support and dedication in keeping archery alive and well in our corner of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The ongoing work in maintaining and keeping our shooting grounds looking so good was lauded as was the great work early in the year when VHAC hosted the Easton Open, Matchplay and Trials. Special thanks was given to Andrew Bowering who so gallantly stepped in to the secretary role and has smoothly and efficiently kept the club going these past few months.
The VHAC wish our members and followers a Happy Christmas - peace, good health and great shooting in what will hopefully be a Covid-19 free 2021! 🏹
