VHAC - Masters Games Champions!
This is a copy of the article that will appear in the Victor Times this Thursday. Photo's used have been taken from various facebook posts and hopefully the authors are happy they are being used on this blog.

The 17th Australian Masters Games was recently held in Adelaide from the 5th to 12th October. Regarded as Australia's greatest multipart event, archery is included among over 50 sports on offer. Age entry is 30+ years.
Victor Harbor Archery Club was well represented with members coming home with a swag of medals. All disciplines within archery were available - 3D, Clout, Indoor, Marked and Unmarked Field, Target and IAFF [Field]. Not all members shot all disciplines but those who did survived gruelling hours of archery as events followed one another closely - and they enjoyed every minute! Archery SA estimated approximately 46,490 arrows were shot over the week of competition.

President of VHAC Graham Potts came home with 6 Gold medals, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. He also established new State Records in Clout and Unmarked Field. Not a bad effort for a Master!

Sherry Gale came away with 5 Gold medals - Target, Indoor, Marked and Unmarked Field and IAFF, 2 State Records and 1 Australian Record.

Ian Harris won a Silver in Clout and Melissa Balla won Gold in Indoor and Clout. Well done and congratulations on your achievements chaps.

Congratulations must also go to the Southern Vales Archery Club, Archery SA and the various clubs who made their grounds available for these events and for all the volunteers who put in such a great effort to ensure all went smoothly and archers were comfortable, well fed and watered.
